Thank you for coming out to the 6th Annual West Loop Families Halloween Parade!
We maxed out the space at the National Hellenic Museum, where over 150 kids made Greek monster masks, bookmarks and Halloween crafts; played with snow, shaving cream, pumpkins, gooey brains and eyeballs; and worked on coloring projects and listened to children’s stories. The event continued on to Mary Bartelme Park in the West Loop, and despite the rain, over 250 families showed up for a massive trick-or-treating parade on Madison Street. Our excited costumed kiddos collected treats and were entertained with some tricks by over 20 area merchants from Peoria Street to Racine on the south side of Madison, and back to Peoria on the north side of Madison. Some merchants had a little something for the parents, too!
A special thank you to you, the 6th Annual West Loop Families Halloween Parade sponsors, for making this event possible for families and children throughout the West Loop and neighboring communities. Our goal is to make sure all the children in our neighborhood and beyond are part of our programs and events, and it is with the support of our community partners that we are able to do so. Thanks to your generosity we were able to bring the popular Halloween Parade to the community for the sixth year in a row, at no charge to families.
