The word ‘cool’ is an understatement; even the word ‘rad’ or perhaps I’d go with ‘badass’ or ‘inspiring’ or ‘admiration’, oh and of course ‘boss’ is choice. All these words came to mind when someone asked me the other day how I would describe All Rise Brewing Company and their beers.

On a rainy Saturday I walked into Cobra Lounge, ordered their Hefeweizen called ‘Schӧn Gemacht’ and met with Louie Mendicino, General Manager of All Rise Brewing Company and Cobra Lounge. It’s always a tough call on what beer to order here because they’re all so good!
All Rise Brewing Company is a proud silver sponsor for this year’s West Loop Craft Beer Fest and they can’t wait to be there! It’ll be their first time at this festival because they opened their doors in 2015!

My first question was to ask why folks should b-line to their tent first at West Loop Craft Beer Fest, he said, “We’re the new kids on the block and we’re looking to do things better and support local.” All Rise has pride in their company, their beer, their city, their community and their neighborhood.
And you won’t have trouble finding their tent during the festival because as Mendicino puts it, “if you saw our tent at CCBW, you’ll know what our tent will look like at West Loop Craft Beer Fest! It’ll look just like it.” And for those that haven’t seen it yet, just you wait!

Last month I attended their first Medieval Beer Hall Dinner, which I’m happy to report will be continuing every month! The portions and quality of food paired with whichever beers are on tap and good company for those couple hours is so worth it! Look for the upcoming event on their Facebook page to sign up! All food is prepared by Head Chef Jason Gilmore and beers are selected by Head Brewer Tommy Nicely.

By now you’re probably wanting to know what beers they will have at the fest. Well, the All Rise crew will be keeping it secret until you arrive at the festival! But you can count on seeing one tap handle without a doubt: ‘Three Orange Wit’, their Strong White Ale!

Mendicino said the team is looking forward to the festival and to pour their beers. He felt like it was a no-brainer to support the West Loop given that “it’s located in our backyard.” Adding that their All Rise flag is firmly planted in the ground in West Loop and its community. With a big smile he said, “we’re not going anywhere!”
