Neighbors of West Loop sponsoring the Childcare and School Fair on May 17

Picking a childcare provider or school for children can be daunting for Chicago parents, considering how many choices are available. Then there’s the abundance of information on facilities, personnel and educational philosophies.

That said, we’re pleased to announce Neighbors of West Loop as the Premier Sponsor of the inaugural West Loop Families + Chicago Urban Family Childcare & School Fair on May 17. We believe this event will provide a great opportunity for parents in the West Loop and neighboring communities to get all of their questions answered by teachers, administrators and other parents from some of Chicago’s top schools and daycare centers exhibiting.

The school fair will also feature exhibitors representing children’s enrichment programs, extracurricular activities and family-friendly products and services picked by volunteer parents.

In addition, Grace Lee Sawin of Chicago School GPS will speak and hold several breakout sessions about different educational philosophies, and how to navigate the process of researching, visiting and applying to schools.

The West Loop Families + Chicago Urban Family Childcare & School Fair will be held on Saturday, May 17th, from 10AM to 1PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (733 W. Madison St.) in the West Loop. Entrance is free, but be sure to visit the event’s website for more information about the event, and to register.

West Loop Families is a not-for-profit organization that offers families in the West Loop and surrounding communities support, friendship, playdates, family-friendly activities, special events and educational programs through its Meetup page. Membership is free.
